Our little peanut turned 9 months old already on May 9th. We celebrated by making a 1200 mile round trip drive out to the Black Hills the weekend before, for Jeremy's sister's college graduation. Then the following weekend was Mother's Day and Sarah's 30th birthday! We took quite a few pics from those events shown below.
Paige of course is still changing almost daily. We had her 9 month checkup and she is now a little over 16 lbs, but 27 inches long. So she is long and skinny! She's actually only in the 8th percentile for weight, but the 91st percentile for length. She sits up really well now, and loves to play with her toys sitting all around her. We still can't get her to lay on her stomach to get her to try to start crawling, but as the pediatrician said, she might just go straight to walking! She does stand on her feet pretty well, of course being held up. She also likes to stand up in her exer-saucer, and has begun to really bounce around in it.
She's more vocal than ever, too! She has been saying da-da for quite a while, but now is saying na-na too. Also, she has learned to spit and make noise with her tongue! It's funny how she always seems to spit and stick out her tongue at just the right times, as if she is responding to something we say to her. Paige is still an amazing sleeper and is a big girl now and sleeps without her swaddle. Most nights she falls asleep by 830 and doesn't wake up until 730 the next morning, except for a few times where we have to put the pacifier back in her mouth.
We're looking forward to the summer and doing a lot of stuff with Paige outside. She loves taking baths, so she should love playing in a baby pool, and Sarah and Paige already have some summer playdates planned with a friend of ours and her little ones. We plan on going to the zoo too sometime this summer. There are also a couple of family vacations on the books as well. There should be plenty of great pics coming as Paige has learned to ham it up for the camera when she sees we are wanting to take pics! Of course the end of the summer will be Paige's first birthday party. We probably should get started planning on that!
