Last Friday Paige had her 2 month checkup. We were excited to go to see how much weight Paige had gained and how she was doing overall developmentally. Pretty much everything checked out overall. Paige is now up to 10 lbs 1/4 oz. She's in the 30th percentile in head size, but 80th percentile in length, which is good. However, our pediatrician noticed that the fat rolls on the inside back of her legs were asymmetrical. This can be a sign of DDH, or developmental dysplasia of the hip. Here's a couple of links to what it is:

We set up an appointment to have a hip ultrasound done at the Children's Hospital here in town. The technician today did a ultrasound on both hips that reminded us exactly of Sarah's ultrasound when she was pregnant. She immediately told us that everything looked great to her, but that the doctor would need to confirm the results. He came in and did the exact same thing the technician did with the ultrasound machine(not sure why there is a technician then if the doctor does the same thing), and confirmed the results. So, Paige won't need any follow up visits, and more importantly won't need any braces, etc. We know this really wasn't a serious issue and even if there was something wrong, it would have been more of a hassle to deal with than anything, but we are glad she is ok!! Her appointment and what the results would be were definitely on mommy's and daddy's mind all week long! So far we're blessed to have a healthy, happy child!!
Speaking of happy child, here is a video of Paige laying on her back on her play mat. We recently attached a blinking, musical sheep to the bars over her, and she loves it! It's so cool to see her "noticing" things like this now, and being entertained by stuff like this. Of course the video misses her where she smiles really big. That always seems to happen though, we always miss the big smiles!!
