It's been a while.....

We're making a post today, well to just make a post I guess!! I know some of you want to know what Paige is doing and how she is growing up so fast and of course not everyone gets to see her everyday like we do!
Paige has started daycare this week. So far, so good. It was definitely tough to drop her off on Monday. Jeremy had to do that duty while Sarah went to work. The way our schedules work out, Jeremy brings her to daycare in the morning and Sarah picks her up in the afternoon.
Paige has been a happy baby most of the time at daycare so far, in between the times she wasn't sleeping. Our daycare lady has told us how she loves the way Paige always seems to be smiling, sometimes just for the heck of it!
At home, Paige is keeping us busy and entertained as well. She has her evenings where she just seems to be tired and fussy, but then that just means she will usually sleep all night long for us. I can only think of one time in probably the last month where she didn't sleep through the night. It's been great and we know it's probably not going to last though! She smiles more than ever when she's happy and is making more cooing noises. She holds her head up pretty good when she sits on our laps, and is finally starting to take a pacifier!

the pic below is of Paige sitting in front of the aquarium. Sometimes she will sit on the chaise or in her bouncy seat and try to watch the fish, but those spots are pretty far away or too low to the ground. She's recently discovered however that she likes the motorized swing we have, so viola! She will usually sit in the swing while it rocks and watch the fish and bubbles for at least 15 minutes at a time. It's a good way of giving mommy and daddy a rest!

Everything is OK!!

Last Friday Paige had her 2 month checkup. We were excited to go to see how much weight Paige had gained and how she was doing overall developmentally. Pretty much everything checked out overall. Paige is now up to 10 lbs 1/4 oz. She's in the 30th percentile in head size, but 80th percentile in length, which is good. However, our pediatrician noticed that the fat rolls on the inside back of her legs were asymmetrical. This can be a sign of DDH, or developmental dysplasia of the hip. Here's a couple of links to what it is:

We set up an appointment to have a hip ultrasound done at the Children's Hospital here in town. The technician today did a ultrasound on both hips that reminded us exactly of Sarah's ultrasound when she was pregnant. She immediately told us that everything looked great to her, but that the doctor would need to confirm the results. He came in and did the exact same thing the technician did with the ultrasound machine(not sure why there is a technician then if the doctor does the same thing), and confirmed the results. So, Paige won't need any follow up visits, and more importantly won't need any braces, etc. We know this really wasn't a serious issue and even if there was something wrong, it would have been more of a hassle to deal with than anything, but we are glad she is ok!! Her appointment and what the results would be were definitely on mommy's and daddy's mind all week long! So far we're blessed to have a healthy, happy child!!

Speaking of happy child, here is a video of Paige laying on her back on her play mat. We recently attached a blinking, musical sheep to the bars over her, and she loves it! It's so cool to see her "noticing" things like this now, and being entertained by stuff like this. Of course the video misses her where she smiles really big. That always seems to happen though, we always miss the big smiles!!

Our Happy Little Peanut!

Paige has been an EXTREMELY happy baby. She does get fussy every once in a while and has her days, but overall I think that we really lucked out. She's been smiling a lot more, but I'm convinced she knows exactly what the camera is. We have been lucky enough to capture a few...enjoy!
